The Ebbemoore are a jewel of the Sauerland Rothaargebirge Nature Park. They are mainly located on the northern slopes of the Ebbegebirge. The Grundlose is the largest moor and also the headwaters of the Lister, which flows into the Biggesee via the Listertalsperre.
Life in the moor appears undisturbed, and yet it is not at all. Many animal and plant species have found their last refuges here, threatened with extinction due to dwindling habitats and deteriorating environmental conditions.
The 5 stations on the adventure trail also provide information about this. The origin, significance and threat to the moors is the topic, as is the richness of species and the factors for their continued existence.
The highlight of the trail is the small viewing plateau above the "Grundlose" Lister spring area.
The circular hiking trail starts at the Meinerzhagen Stoltenberg hiking parking lot. The slightly ascending trail is marked with the A5 sign. It runs for around 4.7 km along unpaved forest paths and is therefore not barrier-free. There is a rest area at the Stoltenberg hiking parking lot. A refuge in the middle of the trail invites you to linger.
