The Grundlose - the headwaters of the Lister - is a moorland area in the town of Meinerzhagen, north of the village of Willertshagen.
Grundlose - source area of the Lister
Willertshagen
58540 Meinerzhagen
To the north of the small settlement of Willertshagen in Meinerzhagen is the Grundlose: the headwaters of the Lister. The moorland area surprises with its extraordinary flora and fauna and the typical moorland birch trees. It is a nature reserve, which - naturally also due to the bog soil - may not be entered.
However, a viewing platform created by the Sauerland-Rothaargebirge Nature Park awaits visitors on site, giving hikers and walkers a great overview of this moorland area. An information board provides information about the flora and fauna.
The Grundlose can be reached via the marked A5 hiking trail, which starts at the Stoltenberg hiking parking lot. This is a circular tour, so you can return to the starting point.
