Hützemert
The starting point of the GPX track is the old train station in Hützemert. However, you can of course start this circular tour at any point. Along the route there are three dams, three dam walls and the "Wegeringhausen Tunnel", which at 724 m is the longest cycle tunnel in NRW. Not only the landscape between the dams is worth seeing. There are many interesting sights along the way. It is worth paying a visit to the Hützemert railroad station, the "Bunte Kerke" Lieberhausen, the Schlüsenlehrpfad near Schützenbruch and the "KulTour", an art trail near Kalberschnacke.
Also worth seeing are the dam wall of the Biggetal reservoir, the Aussichtsplattform Biggeblick (a magnificent viewing platform above the lake), the chapel in Waldenburg, the Martinuskirche and the Valentinskapelle in Olpe, the Eichener Mühle, the market square and the St. Clemens Basilica in Drolshagen and the hedge labyrinth near Drolshagen-Stupperhof.
Refreshment stops: Hützemert station rest stop, Gasthof Feldmann Pernze, Rengser Mühle Lieberhausen, Lüdespert, Schreibershof, Kalberschnacke, Biggesee lighthouse, Bootshaus Olpe, Rosenthal, Eichenermühle, Drolshagen market square. However, some of the options listed are only open at weekends.
