The KuLTische

Street art/ art in public space

The table as a cross-cultural symbol of community and hospitality.

The Drolshagen KuLTische consist of 2 artistically designed stone tables, each surrounded by 5 seating stones. The locations along the hiking trails have been chosen so that they are perceived by people as being in harmony with nature.

The neologism "KuLTische" also refers to their location, namely on the "KuLTour", the popular LandArt hiking trail on Listersee. In both cases, the "K" stands for art and the "L" for landscape, in other words: art in the landscape.

Two stone tables, free-standing in nature with a view of the Sauerland mountains. The tables made of Anröchte stone are around 100 million years old. What is placed on them is food and drink for a short break. There are five stone seats around each table for wandering guests. Tables and seats refer to eating and drinking together and the associated breathing of peace.

These landscape markers are linked to narrative traditions from different cultures around the world. They can be called up via CR code on the Internet, to read for yourself or read aloud. They give the table groups a meaning that opens up the Christian tradition in a new way, but is not dependent on any religious affirmation.
