The Eichener Mühle is closely linked to the history of our town. It is considered one of the earliest commercial enterprises in the Olpe district. The building, technology and mill water are listed buildings. The watermill is located directly on the panoramic cycle path, in the immediate vicinity of the B55 and the A45.

The mill was first mentioned in 1512 as a ban mill of the former Cistercian monastery in Drolshagen and was still in operation until 1964. It is now to be restored as a technical cultural asset with a new water wheel, grinding mill and sawmill. The special features of the mill, which was once operated with 3 water wheels, are explained during the guided tour and supplemented by further examples of historical and modern use of water power.

Opening times:
The mill is open on Open Monument Day (2nd Sunday in September) and on German Mill Day (Whit Monday). Visits can also be arranged by appointment.
