The Biggesee-Listersee nature experience area, surrounded by the towns of Attendorn, Drolshagen, Meinerzhagen, Olpe and the municipality of Wenden, has become a popular vacation destination for tourists and those seeking relaxation. The Biggesee-Listersee Tourism Association plays a crucial role in ensuring that visitors have a positive experience in this region.
The commitment to quality is taken extremely seriously by the Biggesee-Listersee Tourism Association. To ensure that hosts meet the standards, the association offers both advice and testing of various tourist quality seals - including the DTV classification for vacation accommodation, the Pfoten classification for dog-friendly establishments, certification with the ADFC's "Bett+Bike" seal of approval for bicycle-friendly hosts and the "Qualitätsgastgeber Wanderbares Deutschland" award. This level of quality control ensures that accommodation meets the needs of guests. The Biggesee-Listersee Tourism Association recently inspected eight bicycle-friendly Bett+Bike establishments on behalf of the ADFC. These include the DJH Biggesee Youth Hostel, Hotel Diehlberg and Pension Baumhoff in Olpe, the Gut Kalberschnacke campsite, Gasthof zum Hobel and Landhaus Hotel Dumicketal in Drolshagen and Hotel zur Post in Attendorn. In addition, the Maag vacation home was once again awarded four stars, the seven vacation apartments at the Pulte vacation farm were awarded two, three and four stars and the Blüggel vacation apartment was awarded three stars as part of a DTV classification.
