The Biggesee-Listersee nature adventure area has once again proven itself to be an oasis of relaxation and water sports, as it received an outstanding rating for its water quality in 2023. These excellent conditions are a real gift for water sports enthusiasts and recreation seekers alike. The assessment of bathing water quality is based on data collected over the last four years. During the bathing season, the health authorities take water samples at the bathing areas for testing every four weeks. With the start of the bathing season, it's time to share the great news and explore the multitude of opportunities these picturesque waters offer. There are numerous bathing spots along the shores of Biggesee for a refreshing swim. Popular spots include the idyllic Waldenburger Bucht and Schnütgenhof in Attendorn, as well as the breathtaking Sonderner Kopf and the Sondern surf club in Olpe. The Kessenhammer in Olpe also invites you to linger and offers the best conditions for a refreshing dip. Not forgetting the Badestelle Kalberschnacke at the Listertalsperre in Drolshagen, which is a special highlight with its clear water and natural surroundings.
