We follow the path in an anti-clockwise direction and always have the Biggesee to our left
in view. Passing the house where Franz Hitze was born and the Hotel Diehlberg, we soon reach
Stade. Over the foreshore to Olpe Obersee, the route climbs gently through the meadows,
with beautiful views of Sondern. Kessenhammer is soon reached. Then
over the forebay and vigorously zigzag a path up the slope to Howald. We
reach another beautiful viewpoint and can sign the summit book
.
Further along the eastern slope of the Bigge, we soon descend again along a path and cross
the lake on the Sonderner Talbrücke bridge. Behind it on the left, always on the edge path and along
the "Vier Jahreszeiten" campsite, we are soon back at the starting point of our
little Bigge tour. In between, the "Sonderner Kopf" lido invites you to take a
dip in the water.
