Meinerzhagen circular hiking trail (▶)

The Meinerzhagen circular trail (marker: filled triangle pointing to the right) begins in the middle of the nature park at the "Stoltenberg" hiking parking lot above the village of Willertshagen. Directly on one of the benches is a legend plaque of the "Zauberhafte Sagenwelt Oben an der Volme", which can be easily scanned and listened to with a smartphone. The path leads steadily, but initially only slightly uphill, until shortly before a small bridge on the left, the devil's stone from the legend you have just heard is located on the edge of the path. A few meters further on is the Grundlose, the source of the Lister. Here, too, there is a legend to listen to. Again, simply scan the QR code. The trail continues uphill to a refuge. The popular "Fascination Ebbemoore" circular trail also runs parallel to the circular trail here, as you are in the middle of a moor and forest landscape. Continue along the Meinerzhagener Weg and through the Inselwald forest towards the Meinerzhagen residential area of "Birkeshöh" before descending to the center of Meinerzhagen, where you can stop for a bite to eat. The trail then leads along the historic "Krim" alley of houses with the Krugmann distillery via the tree-lined avenue of Heerstraße towards the idyllic Fritz-Paulmann-Weg, at the edge of which the Volmequelle awaits you. You can relax for a while in the shade of the trees with the best view of the Fischbauchbrücke bridge before returning to the starting point of the hike, the Stoltenberg hiking parking lot.
