The Sauerland Höhenflug quality hiking trail stretches 203 km from Meinerzhagen to Korbach in Hesse, crossing the magnificent scenery of the Sauerland Rothaargebirge Nature Park.
On the very first stage from Meinerzhagen to Attendorn, the trail leads along a footbridge over one of the numerous hillside spring moors in the almost 1,000-hectare nature reserve "Auf'm Ebbe", which are particularly worthy of protection. The 70 m long wooden structure allows you to cross the moor with dry feet and provides a view of the wet moorland with moor grasses and Carpathian birch trees.

The footbridge crosses the "Wilde Wiese" moor, which has been a nature reserve since 1930. If you don't want to reach the trail via the Sauerland-Höhenflug stage, Mona Mause recommends starting from the Nordhelle hiking parking lot in Meinerzhagen. From there, there are various routes, including short walks, to the Knüppeldamm.
